Rapid build homes to house Ukrainians in Cavan are not happening quickly enough.
That's according to local Cavan/Monaghan TD Niamh Smyth who has speaking on the Joe Finnegan Show earlier today.
The Deputy says that Bureaucracy and planning has got in the way of delivering these modular homes on the Farnham Rd site.
A spokesperson from the department of the integration said that the homes are due to be completed by next months, almost six months later than originally planned.
Elsewhere, locals blockading a hotel in Co. Clare which is housing asylum seekers have been asked to end their action.
Minister of State for Integration Joe O'Brien met with the some of the group last night, and appealed for them to end the blockade of Magowna House Hotel.
Cavan Monaghan TD Deputy Niamh Smyth says she understands that people in that area are afraid due to lack of consultation.
