On Saturday, as part of Restart a Heart Day, the Hickey family got to meet all the first responders who saved Therese's life.

A Castleblayney toddler is being described as the "miracle story" that beat the odds.

Last August two-year-old Therese Hickey was found unresponsive in a pond at the family home, but survived and made a full recovery thanks to CPR.

On Saturday, as part of Restart a Heart Day, the Hickey family got to meet all the first responders who saved Therese's life.

Fire crews, paramedics, call operators and even the air ambulance crews from the day descended on Castleblayney to celebrate the positive outcome.

Paediatric Consultant at Temple Street Children's Hospital Dr Cathy Gibbons says she's a patient that will never be forgotten.
