A Cavan autism charity is one of ten community groups to benefit from €10,000 in funding under the TikTok and St Patrick's Festival Creative Fund.
Social media giant TikTok says its goal is to inspire creativity and joy and adds that the funding will support these groups in developing creative responses to unique community challenges.
Cavan Autism Education and Training Centre, a newly established autism charity, will use the funding to create their "Autism and The Arts" project.
This project will document a year of creative arts in CAETC, involving one-to-one visual arts, and health and wellbeing projects incorporating mindfulness and music sessions.
The artistic journey of the autism charity will be captured and shared on both St. Patrick's Festival and TikTok platforms, and a selection of work will also be showcased during the 2022 St. Patrick's Festival.
