The Cavan community is in shock after a local woman in her early 20s died in a road traffic collision.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following the fatal three-car collision this morning, at around 5.20 this morning at Derrygarra Lower, Butlersbridge.
The woman in her 20s was pronounced dead at the scene, while two other women, one in her 30s and the other in her 50s, were taken to Cavan General Hospital for non-life threatening.

The road is currently closed to allow for a technical examination to take place by Forensic Collision Investigators and local diversions are in place.
