A Cavan farmer has won a merit award for Most Improved Grassland.
David Brady from Stradone was announced as a winner at the recent Grassland Farmer of the Year Awards, which was attended by Minister Charlie McConalogue.
The competition recognises the top farmers in the country who are growing and utilising more grass on their land.

Caroline Walsh from Ballinascarthy in Cork was named the overall award winner.
