Cavan and Monaghan , alongside the rest of the country, will be under a yellow snow and ice warning this afternoon.
Met Eireann has issued the alert for 4pm today until 11am on Friday.
Scattered showers of snow, hail and sleet will fall across the region and hazardous conditions are expected.
