Cavan named the county with the lowest 12 pubs completion rate

A nationwide study indicates that Cavan and Monaghan are among the hardest places in Ireland to complete the 12 Pubs of Christmas.

The research shows Cavan has the lowest completion rate in the country, with just a 5%chance of reaching the twelfth pub

Monaghan is not far behind, with only about eight percent expected to finish the full route.

The figures are based on five years of Garda public order data, pub density and youth population levels.

Researchers are reminding people that safety matters more than finishing all twelve pubs.
