Cavan Rose of 2024 receives warm reception ahead of main event

The 19-year-old English and Sociology student says she has really enjoyed the experience so far.

The 2024 Cavan Rose says the encouragement and support from people across the county has been amazing.

Grace Farrelly says since receiving the Cavan Rose sash she has received so many well wishes from people across Co Cavan. Since receiving her title, Grace has been gathering sponsorship and meeting people in her local community. Grace who has been crowned the 2024 Cavan Rose says she is very excited for the coming weeks.

The 19-year-old English and Sociology student says she has really enjoyed the experience so far and can't wait for the main event in Tralee next month. She takes over the sash from Knockbride's Tara Rogers. Grace attends college in Maynooth and her hobbies include singing, playing the piano, reading and going to the gym and she works part-time as a cleaner at Cavan General Hospital. Grace says she plans to sing the Doris Day version of 'Dream a Little Dream of Me when on stage.
