Celebrations are continuing in Cavan Town following the local tidy towns committee wining the county award along with a national silver medal.
Local school, Gaelscoil Bhréifne also took home the coveted regional schools award at this year's SuperValu Tidy Towns Awards 2023.
The annual awards were held in Croke Park were local towns and villages were recognised for their commitment to the upkeep of their locality.
At the ceremony on Friday, Glaslough was named as Monaghan's tidiest town.
The Tidy Towns initiative encourages communities to improve their local environment and make their area a better place to live, work and visit.
According to the Secretary of Cavan Tidy Towns Paul Lynch this year's achievements puts the group in a prime position for bigger adventures and success in the coming year.
Paul says the local tidy towns committee has been consistent over the past number of years.
