A number of changes have been made to the roads programme in the Cavan-Belturbet area for the year ahead. The matter was discussed at a recent meeting of the Cavan-Belturbet Municipal District.
According to Senior Engineer, Paul Mulligan, works on the L-1518-0 at Knockaterry to Drumbawn were needed "sooner rather than later". Therefore, he proposed to move works planned on the L-2034-0 at Drumalee to 2024, in order to bring works at Knockaterry to Drumbawn forward in 2023.
Elsewhere, Active Travel works in Latt and Keadow were praised by Cllr Patricia Walsh. According to Cllr Walsh, residents are "very happy".

She added, the construction firm that carried out the maintenance, did an "excellent job".
