The Children's Minister says amendments will be made to the the National Childcare Scheme next year to include childminders.
Many families who use childminders instead of a creche will not be able to avail of the 25 per cent childcare reduction, included in the Budget.
It's because a large portion of childminders in the country aren't registered with Tusla.

But Minister Roderic O'Gorman says a simplified system is set to be implemented next year, which will hopefully encourage more of them to register:
