Civil Defence numbers in Cavan and Monaghan have been detailed in new figures.
The figures were released by the Minister for defence in response to a parliamentary question from Deputy John Connolly.
Cavan has a high level, with 89 active volunteers and 29 inactive members.
In Monaghan 61 active Civil Defence volunteers and nine inactive were recorded.
Nationally, more than 1,900 volunteers are active across the State, according to the Defence Minister.
The Minister says the Civil Defence continues to play a vital role in community support and emergency response.
She also praised volunteers for their ongoing commitment to training and operational duties.
