A Co Cavan food supplier is one of 57 companies that has won a new contract to supply Aldi's 145 stores through its "Grow with Aldi" Development Programme.
This year, the Grow with Aldi message also focused on sustainability, and Vanilla Bean Patisserie in Ballinagh, Co Cavan was successful in its application.
The programme received the highest number of entrants in 2021 and Vanilla Bean Patisserie will now have three of its products on sale for a two-week period, kicking off on Sunday, June 6th.
Five of the Grow with Aldi suppliers will then be given a further opportunity, winning a contract for their product to be sold in Aldi's Irish stores year-round.
Kristijan Kodric started Vanilla Bean Patisserie just before the first Covid-19 lockdown, and he says it's been an exciting journey so far:
