A Cavan County Councillor has voiced his concerns about safety measures on a local junction.
The area of concern is the Laragh House junction at the R165 Stradone to Cootehill road.
Val Smith, Cathaoirleach of Bailieborough-Cootehill Municipal Disrict has described the junction as very dangerous.
He is seeking a safety measure further on the road to inform people they should approach with caution.
Cllr Smith is meeting with the engineer next week to see what can be done with Laragh House Junction as well as a dangerous bend leading up to it.
Speaking to Northern Sound, Cllr Smith outlined his concerns for the area.
"That road turns for Mountain Lodge, and just over the road of 100 yards further, we have two churches, we have a school, we have a community grounds now that's getting a lot of work going on there, a lot of facilities there, and there's underage football and girls' camogie, everything going on there, so it's very dangerous. A pub there, a shop, petrol pumps, and when you're turning right there, it's seriously dangerous."
