The benefits of vaccination are greater than the risks.

Covid-19 children's vaccination clinics for those aged 6 months to 11 years are available this week in Monaghan. Clinics open at the Covid Vaccination Base in St Davnet's Campus, tomorrow, Friday the 14th of July from 10am to 12pm for those aged six months to four years and from 12pm to 2pm for children aged five to 11 years.

The National Immunisation Advisory Committee (NIAC) is recommending that children aged six months to four years who have a health condition that puts them at high risk of severe illness if they get the virus should get vaccinated.

In addition, NIAC is advising that the benefits of vaccination are greater than the risks meaning that all children in this age-group can be offered the vaccine. Sinead McConnell, General Manager, Covid-19 Vaccination Programme, in this HSE region is advising parents and guardians to book vaccination appointments online at www.hse.ie
