Up on to €20 million worth of salaries is being pumped into the local economy through digital working hubs in Co Monaghan.
That's according to Finbarr Daly who is the CEO Enterprising Monaghan.
There are 11 remote working hubs in total across Co Monaghan.
Across the 11 sites there are 65 tenants with 65o people employed and if you take all the hubs there are over 1,o00 jobs in the county which are hosted in enterprise hubs.
According to Mr Daly, the pandemic "crystalised" the opportunity for remote working.
He believes even for environmental reasons, it's not right nor sustainable for people to spend hours travelling down motorways to large urban areas to get good quality jobs when we now have the infrastructure to facilitate these jobs here in Monaghan.
Speaking to Northern Sound, he believes enterprise hubs encourages staff to stay and to know they don't have to go to larger cities to get good jobs as they can get them here locally when you have the right resources in place.
He also outlined the financial impact that enterprise hubs have on the local economy:
