Do not consume notice issued in Cavan

Following consultation with the HSE, Cavan County Council is issuing a 'Do Not Consume' notice with immediate effect to protect the health of all consumers of water supplied by the Dernakesh Group Water Supply Scheme.

Locals are asked to use an alternative safe source of drinking water for drinking, cooking and food preparation, brushing teeth or making ice.

Alternative supply is being provided from a tanker beside Gallonray House, Maudabawn.

Locals are asked to please remember to boil this water from the tanker before use for drinking or for food preparation and to pass this information onto neighbours and friends.
