A Monaghan youngster recently experienced a trip of a lifetime with his family. Last weekend marked a "dream come true" for Honorary Garda Daire Gorman when he got the chance to watch his favourite team Liverpool FC play live at Anfield Stadium.
In a viral video which has struck the heart of thousands online, an emotional Daire is captured enjoying the chorus of 'You'll Never Walk Alone' being sang by fans in Liverpool's home stadium.
Speaking on this morning's Joe Finnegan Show, his mum Shelley Gorman said that as a family, Daire makes them "so proud" every single day with his courage, determination and overall approach to life.
Shelley also had high-praise for the "phenomenal" work carried by the 'Little Blue Heroes' charity who organised the trip.
"Daire has explained it as an out of body experience, he has the time of his life and was a dream come true. To see the emotion, joy and happiness that it brought him was just phenomenal and we can't that the Little Blue Heroes enough for making him dream come true.
"The support and the comments that Daire has seen from people over the past week, all the love, positivity and the fact that people are taking the time to comment and show love for Daire has just blown him away."
