Members of the Cavan Roads Policing Unit carried out a number of speed checks yesterday on the N3. The Cavan Roads Policing Unit detected some high speeds well in excess of the 100kmph limit on the N3.
According to local Gardaí, the drivers in question received fixed payment notices. One driver even tested positive for drugs and was arrested. Blood samples were then taken for analysis and a court date will follow.
