Father-of-four named as Ken Piper, following yesterday's fatal N2 collision

Gardaí are appealing for information following a fatal road traffic collision which occurred on the N2 yesterday afternoon.

Motorcyclist, Ken Piper from St. Benan's Villas in Laytown was pronounced dead at the scene.

The father-of-four who is in his 50s, was involved in a collision with a car at the Philipstown junction between Collon and Ardee at 12.35pm.

While the road has since reopened following forensic examinations, Gardaí are now calling for witnesses or anyone with dash cam footage to contact Ardee Garda Station.
