A local family say they feel they were brainwashed by anti-vaxxers operating along the Fermanagh-Monaghan border over the last 12 months after a loved one died recently from Covid-19.
Veronica and Billy Greenaway - who have three children - allowed anti-vaxxers from both sides of the border to use their Co Fermanagh home in Lisneskea to host meetings and spread misinformation on the virus.
Just a few weeks ago Billy died in the South West Acute Hospital in Enniskillen from Covid-19 believing that vaccinations caused heart attacks and strokes.
Journalist Rodney Edwards broke the story at the weekend.
Speaking to the Wider View today, Mr Edwards says that Veronica highlighted how she was "brainwashed" by anti-vaxxers.
He says she now feels guilty over becoming convinced by "these negative forces" that Covid-19 did not exist.
"The family came to the realisation that perhaps they were brainwashed," Mr Edwards continued.
"Veronica's feelings are that she feels guilty for being convinced that Covid-19 simply did not exist.
"She feels she was influenced by these negative forces."
