There are 1004 approved applicants on the social housing list in Monaghan County Council.
That's according to figures given in response to question put to Monaghan County Council by Cllr Seamus Treanor.
Cllr Treanor asked how many people are on the waiting list and how many are from outside the state and which countries are they from.

In response the council noted it cannot provide information on the country of origin.
Of the 1004 approved applicants, 573 are Irish, six are of the UK, 279 are other EEA and 146 are non-EEA.
