The warning's been issued after the long hot and dry period has led to conditions that are good for the spread of fires.

Fire crews responded yesterday morning to the bin that was on fire at the Green Lough amenity area on the Dublin Road.

They say the fire was extinguished before it spread to nearby grassy areas where it could have easily spread further.
