Four drunk drivers across Northern Sound region arrested within 24 hour period

Four drunk drivers across the Northern Sound region were recently arrested within a 24 hour period.

The local incidents happened on Sunday.

One motorist was arrested at the scene of a traffic collision, while another was observed driving erratically and when stopped, attempted to flee on foot.

A third motorist was observed driving dangerously and when stopped, had no license or insurance.

Meanwhile, the fourth motorist was detected drink driving after a routine road traffic stop.

During the same 24 hour period, a motorist was arrested for drug driving after being stopped for speeding.

All drivers now face Court and disqualification and local gardaí have urged motorists to heed their warnings think before you drink or drug drive.
