Funerals taking place of people who died locally in drowning incidents last week

Each of the incidents took place between Tuesday and Wednesday last week.

The funeral of Michael Hoey, who died while snorkelling last week, will take place later this morning.

He died after getting into difficulty in Lough Allen last Wednesday.

The Carrickmacross man, who was in his 70s, is survived by his wife and five children.

His funeral will take place in St Patrick's Church, Rock Chapel in Magheracloone at 11 o'clock.

Meanwhile, the funeral of 16 year old Killian Casey who died after getting into difficulty in Lough Sheeling on Tuesday, will take place tomorrow.

He was airlifted to Temple Street Children's Hospital for treatment but he died on Thursday.

His funeral will take place in St Mary's Church in Crosserlough tomorrow at 12 noon.

The funeral of mother of two Natasha Core took place yesterday.

She got into difficulty in a lake in the Loch Gowna area on Wednesday and her body was recovered later that evening.
