Gardaí in Cavan and Monaghan are warning individuals of the increasing number of fraudsters who are making contact through text messages and fake websites.
According to local Gardaí, one scam in particular in the form of a text message from An Post is circulating on a regular basis which is "unfortunately" catching people off guard.
As a result, Gardaí in Cavan and Monaghan are urging people to "never click on the link in unsolicited text messages"

Adding that "all criminals are trying to do is take money out of your bank account."
