Gardaí in Monaghan are investigating an incident of criminal damage to the driver's side rear window of a car.
The vehicle was parked in the long stay car park at Monaghan Shopping Centre between Friday the 13th of January and Sunday the 15th January.

Elsewhere, the Cavan Roads Policing Unit carried out speed checks on the N3 over the weekend.
As a result of the operation, a number of motorists were detected driving well in excess of the speed limit.
One of the drivers was detected for travelling at 137 kilometres per hour, while another was caught travelling at a speed of 129 kilometres per hour.
According to Gardaí , fixed Payment Notices were issued.
