Gardaí have renewed their appeal for information following the assault a member in west Cavan last week.
Roscommon-native Garda Padraig Scott was hospitalised after an attack where he was also doused in an accelerant while on patrol in Blacklion on February 28th.
He remains off duty while he recovered from his injuries and the trauma of the events.

Gardaí carried out a checkpoint at the scene of the attack last night and are seeking the support of the public to further their investigations.
Chief Superintendent Alan McGovern said progress is being made on what he described as a "cowardly attack", and asked that anyone who has information or was in the area at the time to contact Cavan Garda Station.
