Hundreds of local students left without bus ticket for coming term

600 post primary students between Cavan, Monaghan, and Louth have no bus seat.

Hundreds of local secondary school students have been left without a bus ticket for the coming term.

The issues has been raised by Councillor Sarah O'Reilly who has criticised Education Minister Norma Foley on her inaction describing the situation as 'a mess'.

Due to the reduction of capacity from 100% to 60% 600 post primary students between Cavan, Monaghan, and Louth have no bus seat.

Councillor O'Reilly says there needs to be evidence provided as to why there can't be full capacity allowed on these buses:
