Cavan man Kevin McGahern is hoping people across the region will continue to support him all the way to the final of this year's Dancing with the Stars. The local comedian and TV presenter is determined to dance his way to the finish line as he finds himself one of just 7 contestants left in the competition.
Kevin says it's very different to anything he's done before but none-the-less, he is having fun. The Gowna native says he's trilled with the support he's receiving in Cavan and throughout the country.
Kevin added the he feels like he's in a county final. "It's a great experience and it's especially great the reaction from people. I've never been on a show that's this popular; there's a huge audience watching and the support I've gotten from people in Gowna, Arva, and Dromard has just been amazing.
"My wife's mother is from Glin in Limerick and she says she has half of Glin voting for me as well, so it's a lovely feeling when you have people behind you like that. I never played sport so this must be what's it like to be in a county final," he said.
