Today is international nurse's day and to mark the special occasion, celebrations took place at Monaghan General Hospital.
International Nurses Day is celebrated every year on May 12th to highlight the contribution of nurses to the healthcare sector.

Speaking to Northern Sound, she said it was "important" to celebrate the work of local nurses today.
According to Caroline, the Covid pandemic left nursing staff under immense "emotional pressure."
Despite this, she says today was a wonderful opportunity to highlight how nurses at Monaghan General Hospital got through the pandemic together and as a result are closer than ever before:
