Gardai still haven't formally identified a man whose body was found in a field in Co Meath at the weekend. The remains of the man who was aged in his 20's were found wrapped in material in woodland at Kilbride just outside Ashbourne on Saturday afternoon.
A post mortem has confirmed he was violently assaulted and Gardai believe he was killed elsewhere before his body was dumped in the rural location. A murder investigation is now underway.
Meanwhile, Gardai are still questioning a woman about the death of a man in Navan. The body of the man who was in his 40's was found at a house in the town on Saturday night. The woman who is in her 30's is being held at Kells Garda Station.
