'I've never felt as good to take on a challenge' - Humphreys

Heather Humphreys says she has "never felt as good" to take on a challenge as she does now.

The former Minister confirmed today that she will be seeking a nomination from Fine Gael to run in the upcoming presidential election.

Heather Humphreys shocked the political world back in October after she unexpectedly announced that she would not contest the General Election.

After taking time away from politics since then, the former Minister told this morning's Joe Finnegan Show that she has never felt as good about taking on a challenge as she does now.

She explained: "I've had a good rest. The tank is full again and timing is a funny thing because I've never felt as good about taking on a challenge."
