A Kingscourt woman who feeds hundreds of homeless people in Dublin every week says only for the support of local people it couldn't be done.
Sonya McMahon from 'Help Our Homeless' run by her and her family offer food to the homeless in the city 365 days a year.
She feeds up on 200 people twice a week outside the GPO along with an outreach service seven days a week visiting tents in parks in the harder to reach areas across the capital.
Sonya says only for the people of Cavan and Monaghan and the businesses that support her, they wouldn't be able to do what they do.
She says unfortunately they run out of food and items because of the demand that's there.
Soyna says it can be very difficult seeing people living on the streets and unfortunately she says she can't see it getting any better.
