Diana Maxwell passed away at the age of 90 before the New Year.

A local historian says Lady Farnham is to thank for the acquisition of the Farnham Collection by Cavan County Council.

Diana Maxwell passed away at the age of 90 before and had close ties to Cavan as the wife of the 12th Baron Farnham, Barry Maxwell.

Tributes have poured in since her passing with Cathaoirleach of Cavan County Council, Councillor Clifford Kelly, saying that although the Farnham family had not resided in the county for some time, she retained a strong connection and was a stalwart supporter of the museum.
