The old Northern Bank will become a massive new library in Kingscourt and it will become one of the finest libraries in the county.

It's aimed at helping libraries reach out to marginalised groups.

The building will be a new state-of-the-art library.

All proceeds will go to towards the Monaghan Peace Campus.

The space will include a new library, additional theatre space at the Ramor Theatre, and a shared multipurpose civic events space.

The current building is said 'not to be fit for purpose'.

Works are set to start on the project by July.
