Lidl will open the doors to its brand-new store in Cavan Town at 8am next Thursday.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new state-of-the-art store will be attended by ladies Gaelic football captain Shauna Lynch to officially open its doors.
The original store was one of the first Lidl stores to open in Ireland in 2000.
After serving the community for more than 25 years, the store has been demolished and replaced with an expanded new retail unit.
As part of its commitment to the local community, the Lidl Cavan store team has selected SOSAD as the local charity to receive a donation of €1000 in Lidl vouchers on opening day.
The expanded new Cavan store will create 16 new permanent jobs.
Cavan Ladies Gaelic Football Captain Shauna Lynch says Lidl has backed ladies football for the last decade and she is looking forward to seeing so many on the opening day.
