A man will appear in court later in relation to a Garda operation targeting dissident republican activity.
Gardaí are continuing to investigate all the circumstances surrounding a vehicle that was stopped travelling on the N2 south of Carrickmacross on Wednesday.

The man aged in his 40s who was arrested has since been charged in relation to this investigation.
