People across the Northern Sound region are being reminded to dispose of their real Christmas trees in a responsible manner.

In Co Cavan, people can recycle their real Christmas trees free of charge throughout the month of January at the civic amenity centres in Corranure, Bailieborough, and Ballyconnell.

No entrance fee will be applied at these sites.
Across Co Monaghan, the civic amenity sites in Scotch Corner and Carrickmacross will also be recycling the real trees over January, but a 4 euro entrance fee will apply.
