A Co Monaghan parent says cancellations of orthopaedic surgery for her son who has severe disabilities is causing him anxiety and has left him devastated.
Shelley Gorman's ten-year-old son Daire was born with no arms and is missing his femur bone in either leg, making him a full-time wheelchair user.
Orthopaedic surgery that would relieve Daire's pain has been cancelled on four occasions and Shelley says she has received no response from local politicians on the matter so far.

Speaking on the Joe Finnegan Show, Shelley said the cancellations have made Daire "completely flat" and added that her son has been left in physical pain due to the cancellations:
