Listen Back: Barry Aughey on LA519 and the support the charity has received to date

Local man Barry Aughey joined us in studio to talk about LA519 which is a non-profit organisation.

The charity was set up on the 30th of March 2021 by Barry Aughey and Deirdre Costello on what should have been their son Luke’s 18th birthday.

Sadly their world was turned upside down when they lost Luke to suicide on the 25th of May 2019. He had just turned 16.

This organisation has evolved from the challenges that Barry and Deirdre experienced during their attempts to help Luke get the necessary support he needed.
