A local councillor has outlined his concerns over street lighting in the Carrickmacross area.

According to Sinn Fein's Colm Carthy, lighting has been out the Rockdaniel Road and Ardross Avenue areas of Carrickmacross since early January. Speaking to Northern Sound, Cllr Carthy said that people living in the area have been left with no other option but to walk the route in "complete darkness." According to Cllr Carthy, the issue has arisen from a section of infrastructure provided by the ESB who are "aware" of the situation.
