Local farmers say they feel bullied by how they are being targeted in climate change discussions.

ICMSA Deputy President and Bailieborough dairy farmer Lorcan McCabe was speaking after attending a number of county AGMs this week.

He says a lot of members are concerned about how they are being portrayed in the media on climate issues.

McCabe welcomed recent support for the sector from senior Government ministers, but said there's still a lot of negative commentary.

He has also said there's no sign of TB being brought under control in Cavan and Monaghan.

Monaghan, east Cavan and north Meath continue to be the regions with consistently high incidence rates of the disease.

Lorcan McCabe said he can't see how the situation will improve in the short-term.
