Local gardaí issue appeal following 11 arrests for drink and drug driving

Cavan and Monaghan gardaí are appealing for motorists to never driver under the influence of drink and drugs following 11 arrests in the region over the weekend.

Last Saturday and Sunday, ten drivers were arrested on suspicion of drink driving in the Cavan/Monaghan Garda Division and one arrest was made for drug driving.

Cavan/Monaghan gardaí are reminding the public that they will have increased visibility on the roads over Christmas and have appealed for motorists to keep the roads safe for themselves and others.
