Only urgent or emergency appointments are going ahead.

Cavan and Monaghan Hospital is continuing to remind people of disruption to services due to the cyberattack on the HSE.

Management say all radiology appointments, including x-rays, MRI and CT scans, are still being cancelled - with the exception of urgent cases.

Any maternity patients booked in for a 20 week foetal anomaly scan are asked to contact radiology reception directly on 049-4373269 (9am-5pm) in order to arrange an appointment slot.

The Emergency Department in Cavan and Minor Injuries Unit in Monaghan are open but people are asked to only present if their case is urgent and contact their GP in other cases.

The Covid-19 vaccination centres in both Cavan and Monaghan remain open and anyone with an appointment is asked to turn up as scheduled.

GPs meanwhile have been told that only urgent or critical samples can be accepted for testing in the laboratory services at Cavan Hospital.

It's expected to be weeks before the health system returns to normal.
