A young Co Cavan man is encouraging others to get join their local Macra group across the region.
Cavan Macra member Ciarán Bannon who was crowned the North WestMacra King for 2024 says joining a local group has huge benefits. He says it great for confidence building to have social interaction with other like minded people especially in rural Ireland.
Even though Ciaran has only been a member of his local Macra for two years, he says the confidence that he has gained is immense. The Cavan native says he was very much surprised to take home the title of North WestMacra King for 2024. He says he would highly recommend other young people living in the region to reach out to their nearest macra group and get involved.
