Local man Kieran Lappin is on a mission to complete five Ironman Distance Triathlons in five days.
The Co Monaghan endurance athlete has taken on the challenge to test both his body and mind.
He's also committed to the challenge as a way to raise essential funds for 'Errigal Special Needs' in a bid to keep its doors open for the surrounding community.
Kieran will be completing his challenge in and around Emy Lough in Emyvale.
Kieran will complete a 3.8km swim, 180.2km bike and a 42.2km. That's a daily total of 226.3km ending up with a day five total of 1131.5 km. Speaking to Northern Sound, Kieran says; "I'm aiming for a 6am start each morning and would love as many people as possible to join in any or all 3 disciplines. This can be from five minutes to all five days if they wish. If you are a dipper, swimmer, cyclist, runner, jogger or walker you'll be more than welcome to jump on board."
