A local Sinn Féin TD says the Government has created another mess as issues with PRSI records prevent thousands from receiving PUP payments.
TD for Cavan/Monaghan Matt Carthy says information has not been forth coming on the problem and is questioning whether the failure to pay workers is due to rule changes, or a bureaucratic issue.
He says the difficulty is particularly pronounced for small business owners who have not received PUP supports despite being forced to close during Level 4 & 5 restrictions.

Deputy Carthy says it is disgraceful they have been treated this way for no practical reason and has called on the Minister to intervene immediately:
