It says Budget 2023 failed to support students in the cost of living crisis and accommodation crisis.

Local third-level students walked out of lectures this morning in protest over the increasing cost of living.

The USI organised the demonstration at college campuses across the country, that saw students leave their 11am lecture after 11 minutes.

Ellen is a DCU student from County Monaghan and she told Northern Sound News why she walked out.
