Local Young Fine Gael vice-chair says indoor dining plans "literally leave young people in the cold"

When indoor dining resumes, only fully vaccinated people or those who've recovered from Covid can avail of it.

The vice-chair of the Cavan Monaghan branch of Young Fine Gael has hit out at the government for "literally leaving young people in the cold" with its indoor dining proposals.

Indoor dining was to resume next Monday but has been pushed back a number of weeks following NPHET advice.

When it does return, only fully vaccinated people or those who've recovered from Covid will have access.

Niko Kawonczyk noted that most young people haven't been offered a vaccine yet and says this move will create a "two-tired" system.

Speaking to Shannonside Northern Sound, he criticised the "paradoxical plans" that will see young, unvaccinated staff working in settings they can't avail of themselves:
